10th CROATIAN MEETING INDUSTRY FORUM

Croatian Meeting Professionals Association (CMPA) held its 10th Croatian Meeting Industry Forum in Zagreb, on 7 December 2021 – an annual event for meeting professionals, authorities reps and media. After last year’s virtual event, this was a hybrid one with 60 live participants and 40 ones online.

In the first part, the participants were informed of the current situation in the Croatian meeting industry, while the second part was reserved for the main topic – sustainable events. The theme was first tackled by a plenary lesson given by Prof. Oliver Kesar from Zagreb University, followed by Annika Romer from Copenhagen Legacy Lab – and then by a panel discussion. It included three major Croatian successful sustainable projects: Aquatika, a freshwater aquarium from Karlovac, Terme Sveti Martin na Muri and its whole regional community and Becarac Museum with its local society group.

The success of this event shows the vitality of MICE community, although terribly hit by the pandemics, and its strength and desire to strive for better times around the corner.

CMPA at MIM in Bluesun hotels

This past weekend CMPA held its regular MIM – Meeting Industry Meeting – in Brela and Bol on Brač island. We had a fabulous welcome by Bluesun team and a wonderful time discovering all the hidden gems of Brela and Brač MICE venues. Our visit also included the Nature Park Biokovo and its already famed Skywalk panoramic platform with a spectacular view over the riviera, as well as the visit to the old and renowned winery Stina at Bol for a delightful wine tasting. Nothing but thank you Bluesun team for all your efforts, we felt like home. And best of luck with your planned renovation of multiple hotels, which will enrichen the Dalmatian MICE offer even more!
