In March and May 2022, MEETEX – Croatian Meeting Experience Summit was held for the fourth time in a row – in a hybrid format. This is the only B2B event of meetings-incentives-events travel professionals in Croatia. While over a 1000 online business meetings took place from 15-17 March, live events are scheduled for May 2022.
Despite the circumstances, this event got together more than 150 participants – Croatian exhibitors from meetings-incentives-events sector, international hosted buyers, keynote speakers, educators, and notable guests. This year’s edition included new niches: boutique & luxury hotels as well as destination weddings – the products highly demanded by upscale international market. During 3 days in March, they participated in 1-to-1 online business meetings, lectures, networking events – with one goal: to present Croatia as an ideal meetings, events, luxury travel and unforgettable weddings European destination.
The speakers included Prof Dr Rob Davidson of MICE Knowledge, Dr Riina Iiloranta of Visit Finland as a Luxury Travel expert, Prof Dr Oliver Kesar of Faculty of Economy in Zagreb, Iva Kraljević Licardo, Croatian Wedding industry president, Ines Nanić of Dubrovnik Event, Ivana Kolar of Tourism 365 conference, Vanja Melnik, Destination wedding photographer, and some other interesting guests – some even related to Michelin stars gastronomy.
Unlike any other similar European event, MEETEX is the only one promoting just Croatia as a meeting and event destination.
The MEETEX live part is scheduled for May where the exhibitors will nominate the best buyers to welcome them in their destinations on three fam trips: in Dubrovnik area, Dalmatia, Istria and Kvarner – all of them gathering in Zagreb, the capital.
The event maintains to cooperate with educational institutions enabling the students a glimpse in the industry and partnering with similar events like Tourism 365.
In addition to its primal goal – business networking – MEETEX continues with educations, knowledge transfers and updates, presenting Croatia as an ultimate meetings and events destination.
