About CRVENI NOSOVI (Official Statement)

For 15 years, the mission of CRVENI NOSOVI – member of RNI Red Noses International – has been to bring smiles and awaken the joy of life among vulnerable groups in society, primarily children in hospitals, children with disabilities, residents of nursing homes, adult oncology patients, and other sensitive groups facing difficult and crisis life circumstances. Regular visits by hospital clowns provide significant support in accepting the situation and coping with fears, insecurities, and boredom. By listening to the needs of society and program beneficiaries, their families, healthcare professionals, as well as donors and partners, CRVENI NOSOVI continue strengthening existing programs and introducing new ones, aware that the need for joy exists far beyond the hospital room.

CRVENI NOSOVI operate in 14 cities across Croatia and currently bring together 35 professional clown-artists specially trained to work with the most vulnerable groups in society. In addition to continuous development of their artistic skills, the clowns receive training in psychology, pedagogy, sociology, communication, and hospital procedures.

The clowns regularly visit 129 paediatric wards in 21 hospitals, 10 oncology departments for adults, 13 nursing homes, 2 autism centres, 2 children’s homes, and more than 20 rehabilitation institutions for children with disabilities.

Thanks to the support of citizens and companies, CRVENI NOSOVI have brought joy and relief to more than 430,000 children, adults and elderly people throughout Croatia!
